Core 4622 is available as cold rolled coil and sheets in thicknesses of 0.3 – 4.5 mm and hot rolled coil and sheets in thicknesses of 3 – 5.5 mm widths up to 1500 mm.

Excellent cost stability compared to Ni-alloyed austenitic grades and Mo-alloyed acid proof grades.
Localized pitting resistance comparable to common austenitic grades 304 and 304L.
Ideal for deep drawing applications with high R-value and limiting drawing ratio (LDR).
Virtually roping free for easy polishing. Improved surface properties due to low Ti content.
Low risk of sensitization owing to stabilization. Less distortion than in austenitic grades thanks to higher heat transfer.
Lower work hardening than austenitic grades, enabling faster machining times and longer tooling life.
The high typical chromium content of 21% gives Core 4622 good corrosion resistance, with localized pitting resistance as good as, or even better than, popular austenitic grades like Core 304L.
